It's #MakeoverMonday you guys!
I got the chance to have this beautiful bride sit in as my model for the taping of the new luxe|wise intro video! And it's all thanks to Skye for hookin' it up, shootin' it up, and filmin' it up! Hannah is the now sister-in-law to Skye, who you may remember from two before+afters ago. I'd heard a lot about Hannah and had seen her around on social media and had even passed along the word that I would LOVE the chance to get to work with her.
Well ladies and gents, dreams do come true! I love that I had a chance to work with someone who has naturally curly hair like me and beautiful tan skin and luscious lips TOTALLY unlike me. Ha! Again, this girl was aware of stellar products to buy that fit her needs pretty closely. We went over a few other options to consider purchasing (one of which was IT Cosmetics' BYEBYE UNDER EYE OF COURSE YOU KNOW I'M GONNA TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THAT SECOND TO THE GOSPEL), and we created a little bit more of a relaxed texture with her curls. And of course, duh false lashes, because this was a wannabe mock run-through of a typical bridal look.
Since we did do a bridal look, I asked Hannah if it was okay that she wore the earrings from my wedding day just for kicks and giggles. They were a custom design piece handmade by my aunt with Scooples Jewelry. (Give her a shout if you need some jewels.) I love a touch of glam on a mostly natural look. And I LOVED getting to work with Hannah. We had too much fun. Thank you, Skye, for the recommendation. And thank you, Hannah, for being willing to step into the luxe|wise craziness. You're a true beauty.
This was our inspiration photo from Pinterest. What do you think?
Hit or miss?
What do you guys think about makeup when it comes to bridal looks? Would you rather go as natural as possible or take the opportunity to glam it up a bit more than usual? We haven't really filmed a bridal look for the YouTube channel either, so what do you say? Would you like to see one? Let me know in the comments!
